okay make that half a day later. haha. i just wanted to rave about ALEXANDER WANG. i love love love his stuff. if anyone ever asks me who is my favourite designer, it'll definitely be him. or my favourite label? T by ALEXANDER WANG. got to know about his label a few months back through FashionToast. and i'm getting more and more hooked! too bad he's a designer brand. you know, along the likes of Karl Lagerfield. runway stuff. and that equals to $$$  ♥♥♥ i guess it kinda looks like sleep wear but that is the whole point! “Necklines are stretched and armholes are strategically lowered so that it looks worn in. It’s like sleeping in a T-shirt and then wearing it the next day. It’s not this crisp little T out of the dryer. It’s draped and kind of wilted.” - Alexander Wang sooo my kinda stuff. slouchy, cooling, casual, comfortable basics and still look nice! mmm. that kinda also explains why i have so many tank tops. trying to find the perfect one. ah well. check out his other stuff.  love togas. sighhh. i love his shoes and bags too. definitely my favourite designer label. thats a first. haha. oh and guess how old he is.  this asian american designer is 23 years old! i guess getting into the whole designer labels would be a good thing. then nothing much in the local online blogshops will interest me anymore. SAVE MONEY. heehee. --- on a side note. these popups at blogger is getting REALLY annoying. blogspot should do something about it. im bored. yawn. probably gonna sleep soon. so i went to dinner with keong just now. haha. he drives a mini cooper! :O the interior is super vintage. kinda cool. haha. and so we headed to Tampines 1 for dinner since we didnt know where to go and decided that neither of us has been there so yeap. ate ramen at a japanese place that works like marche. kinda interesting tho crowded. i met andrea there! andrea junior from TDS. tho now she's year 3. time really does fly. yeah so i killed two birds with one stone! caught up with 2 people. haha! keong still hasnt changed la. so funny. i think my tummy muscles will cramp if he and JY (junyong) were together man. haha. oh yes i had just finished a late night show with hon few weeks back and i met JY at dohby ghaut bus stop and we took the night rider back together. wha, he got posted to Commando! haha what a shocker. and just hearing him talk abt his experience in there had me laughing like mad again. lol. yeah so anw. bored bored. since all i do nowadays is shop. i'll upload some pictures of my clothes and i and whatever that interests me. haha. how typical of a girl blog right. tsk. --- clothes clothes clothes. hm. i was never much of a fashion runway follower. im not exactly one now but certain things tend to catch my eyes now a days. im not so sure if thats a good thing, for my pockets especially. my taste in clothes can change and vary from time to time, but i think i generally stick to basics. vary in different types of basics. haha! i SO love Rumi of Fashiontoast. she is damn hot la. i love her legs + clothes + shoes + accessories. this is something different. i'm fangirling about a girl now. check her out.  i'm SO happy i have something similar. hahaha. yes with the black mesh inner layer too. well, that is the point right? :D and my tank top is in the loveliest shade of pale neon pink. love it to bits. just wore it the other day. YUM. wore it with a pair of super comfy satin-ish capris from Mphosis. so happy. will take a picture wearing it sometime. ah. the little things that keep a girl obsessed. i am going crazy over all things pale and nude right now. even pink! im buying alot of pink clothes! my boss asked me yesterday, 'so jy, your closet 90% white ah' hahaha. because i have like about 10 different plain white tank tops in different cuts. okay la 10 is an exaggeration. maybe 5? and plenty of white dresses and tshirts. hm. well i have alot of black too, just that the weather is too crazy hot for me to wear them. and now i am collecting pink.  from Darren's wedding. didnt manage to take a picture of my heels. super high and lovely. mom bought it for us to share. haha!  cute yellow dress! i know some of you haven't seen me wear dresses before! hahaha. but its all changed now! ever since i've started working. i cant be wearing 3/4 all the time. jeans are a NO-NO because i hate sweating in them when i walk out in the hot sun to lunch and back. hahaha. oh man i sound damn high-maintenance. but its true!! who likes to be all sticky in their jeans. ew la. so since i cant wear shorts to work, 3/4s and dresses are the way to go! :)  i super duper love my leather shorts! ♥♥♥ cant rave to anyone except hon so i guess i'll have to do it here and bore everyone of you who even bothers coming back here to check if i updated. haha!  by Stella McCartney. omg i am crazy over them. i actually saw them in OnPeddar at Taka and tried them on, before i knew that MK/Ashley Olsen (i still cant tell them apart) has them. if only i wore high heels more often. if only they didnt cost a bomb. literally to die for. 1.4k if i remember correctly. i should custom make a similar one, with slightly shorter and thicker heels. haha. --- okay la. it's almost 1am! goodness i spent like an hour doing this. -.- and updated twice in a day when i havent done so for the past few months. something is wrong with me.  good night people! :) chubby cheeks, ugh i need to lose weight! hello people! yeah its been more than a month again since i updated. haha. woops. too busy having a super tiring mundane life. sleep, wake up, rush to work, lunch, work, knock off, dinner, tv, knock out. and it goes on and on. so basically nothing really interesting has been happening. haha. so sad right. oh wait there is! check out the doors of the MRT platform at City Hall MRT Station. 4 H-Two-O panels done by me. heehee. concept is actually by my art director but i had to do all the re-laying out for the whole series. T.T yeah thats only the first of the series coming out. next will be the 4Sheet and 12Sheet Panels in the MRT stations, mostly in town i guess. i have no idea why they are called 4Sheet and 12Sheet. its like A4 and A3 you know? except that its alot bigger. 12Sheet is the same size as those horizontal boards at bus stops. i've just completed and submitted the design for a gigantic H-Two-O 'banner' at Tampines MRT station. so if you happen to be there like in June (i think), you can never miss it. its on the wall. like twice the length of the bus. almost killed me. hahah! so H-Two-O have been draining the life out of me for the past few weeks. how ironic huh. i wont go into details. but i honestly dont know whether to feel proud or feel otherwise. ugh. haha. those whom i've talked to about this would know makes me think of the D&D banner we did back in 2006/7. it seems super minor now. anw. im blogging now cos im depressed. while at work. :( not that anyone's gonna be reading anw. since i left this blog to rot for so long. haha. --- am i fated to keep failing for my driving test? SIGH. had my test this morning. could have passed i guess. i failed with 26 points because i mounted curb. immediate failure. mounted (i swear it was just a strike curb, but i guess with that 10 points i would have failed anw) the curb at the last bend in the crank course. back wheel hit. had to reverse and all and i became too kan chiong. for some reason, when i checked behind before i reverse, i turned over my right shoulder to check behind instead of left, so the tester thought i didnt check. twice. 8 points there. -.- plus another 2 points for requiring to reverse (huh? i never knew that). so yup. aquired that 10 points for trying to get out of that crank course. SIGH. if i never mounted that stupid curb (i reckon i turned too early tho i cant quite rmb what happened. i thought i did it right. oh well.), i would have gotten out of the circuit with just 16 points. cos the crank course was the last one. SIAN. now retest date pending cos the next available is 8.25am on 17th july. instructor said not to take. he'll try to help me book a better timing. even he was shocked that i failed again. he said my driving is okay one. HAIYER. ming said sometimes when you are too careful, you end up making more mistakes. at least the tester seems kinder than the first one. but darren says the fiercer the better cos it means that they're not so anal. the nicer ones, you dont know what they mark you for. guess thats kinda true? today even tho i was so careful, the tester marked me for unnecessary depressing of clutch, marked me for 'turn steering whilst vehicle is stationary' and 'fail to use appropriate gear' <-- cos i was moving too slow in the circuit. -.- maybe he thought i'd do good in the test and ming said that they cant give anyone lower than 10 points so they have to find things to mark you. haha. so maybe he thought i was gonna do well since i did in the beginning. until i hit the curb. haha. im just making myself feel better. :( daaaaammmn sian. what can go wrong, will go wrong. :( sigh. anw hon is back in OCS. just recourse-ed this week. so no reply from him yet till tonight cos he's on a route march and has live firing later on. hai. at least tmr is good friday. on the bright side. hon and i just passed our first yr last week. yay! :) and nothing's changed.  i've never been happier. :)taken during the event launch of Real Love Works @ Marina Barrage. we did the advertising for them. hee.  will you walk with me to the end? --- かなしい Monday, February 02, 2009
i'll make sure to turn my head all the way and strain my neck to check my blindspot. i'd better pass the next time. :( have to worry abt curbs again. oh well. anw. im bored in the office. nothing to dooo. boss said, take half day off la. haha. i think he's kidding tho. yawn. i hvnt been blogging regularly huh. so many people stopped too! i guess we're just all getting on with our lives. too tired to bother about writing things down. my eyes keep tearing up when ever i stare at the screen for too long. never happened to me before until year 3. i went for the test, being so afraid of the circuit. afraid that i'll strike or mount curb. get an immediate failure or something. miraculously i didnt! everything went smoothly, except for parallel parking. sigh. it was one of the first few things i was tested on. i was too nervous and turned too early. i knew it was wrong already and i shd have asked the tester if i could come out and do again. 3 tries were given. but no, i had to be gey-kiang and tried to alter my turns to justify the alignment and ended up knocking a pole. giving myself 10 points. SIGH. on 2nd attempt, i did it successfully. and then on the driving test route, i thought i did pretty well. except one part. after i turned onto a bend, i was on the middle lane. i saw 2 L-plate cars infront of me filtering left, and i rmbed, oh yeah must filter left. i was abt to when the tester said go straight. so i got confused. duno whether to filter or not and in the end i didnt. then tester scolded me at the traffic light asking why i didnt filter. now i end up road hogging cos other cars wanna turn right, cannot. (tho now that i think abt it again, if i was on the left lane then other cars wanna turn left, also cannot what? not considered road hogging? aiya. duno la) anw. everything else went smoothly. see, looking at these mistakes i made. road hogging being 6 points and pole down being 10. i only got myself 16 points! still can pass. but tester marked me 22 points down for not checking left blind spot WHICH I DID (but i guess it wasnt obvious enough). SIGH. in fact i was quite satisfied with myself cos when i turned to check left blind spot each time i had to turn left or filter left, i saw him looking at me, checking. so i thought, yay good. i checked my blind spots. and then he insisted i only checked left mirror, never check blindspot. so i got 16 points down for 'failure to check blindspot' and 6 points for 'incorrect checking of blindspot'. and other random points at circuit for not checking safety. like huh. total no. of points: 42. wah lao. no immediate failures i was damn happy. in the end still fail. see right, 42 minus that pole thing (cos i could have retried without knocking the damn pole) 10 = 32. 32 minus stupid 'failure to check blindspot' 22 = 10. i could have passed with freakin 10 points. :( either ways, all my mistakes were damn dumb. i am SO pissed and disappointed with myself. why didnt i turn my head over my left shoulder a lil further! why did i have to try to squeeze into the parallel lot when i knew i could just re-try. ahhh. and i have to go through it all over again for the re-test. and the worst thing of it all is that i have to wait till april. when i could have just passed it now! why cant they schedule re-test like next week or something! i know i can pass lo. previously i didnt have any confidence that i could pass because of the Crank course or S bend. now that i know i can do it without my instructor guiding me and all. i can pass lo. i could have passed first time. AH. damn angry with myself. now i have to risk everything again during the re-test. have to worry abt circuit again. about Crank course and S bend again! SIAN. damn damn freakin sian. sigh.. now everytime i see a car on the road or a bend or a curb, i think of driving. when i go to sleep or stare into space, i see roads and cars too! and what i would have done to pass. this sucks. :( i am so unhappy with myself. yes this blog has collected quite abit of dust. anw. this entry will have quite alot of photos! yipee! :D been so busy from work and going out most of the time. i dont even know what is there to update! aside from the fact that i've been shopping alot! not good. tsk. and i can only mostly wear them to work. haha. Christmas has come and gone. yes i know there's 12 days. i meant Christmas day itself. think i've said this prev yrs before. Christmas is my favorite time of the year! always! so far. haha. even tho it drains money out of my bank like a water tank with a hydraulic pump! :O quite exaggerated, but to make my point. haha. because it is Christmas, my company is on a break too. until the 5th of Jan. shiok. we really need this long break. and then the tiresome year starts again. so, back to Christmas! because it is such a lovely season/holiday, my company even has gift exchange! and we all know Christmas Eve is a half day for everyone. for us too. but our half day of work is Potluck Lunch! plus dessert, present exchange and mahjong. haha! so cool right. kop-ed photos from Joze's facebook! :D Xmas Eve at Xodbox  cooking up a surprise for Xobbies and loves with joze, chocolate lava cake!  yum? :D  thats our art director, Lysandra's baby! weekends are reserved for family, boyfriend included. haha. been OT-ing like crazy the past week. but i managed to catch up on my precious shows in between bus rides and all. Heroes Season 3 and Smallville Season 8. love love love! im actually at work right now, with nothing much to do, FOR NOW. waiting for changes to come back. work's not thhaaat bad actually. time flies pretty quickly. before i know it, its 10pm! :O and i just got my paycheque yesterday! yay! i dont feel so poor anymore. you see, since im always cooped up in the office, how to i satisfy my shopping craves/needs? online shopping! ah. i've spent soo much on them already. :/ anw. some pictures from my birthday! so many other photos i've yet to upload and update. not to mention photos from gatherings i've yet to see in facebook. faster faster! :x  a birthday surprise visit from Alan, Angel, Andrew and Ah guang. wow all As. haha! balloons and signboard from Pam's 21st birthday. hence it is broke off in the middle. haha!  another surprise visit from hon's boyfriends, Kien, Wilson, Zhixuan. :) yes i've got many surprise visits! haha! i didnt even know i had a house party.
